The Sea

I feel like I’m drowning in a dark cold sea,
And there is no one to come and rescue me.
I’m too far out to swim to shore,
And I’m way to tired to try anymore.
The sea is dark and I don’t know which way is up,
And the harder I try the more I get stuck.
The sea gets so tight to where I can’t breathe,
And the sea gets so dark to where I can’t see.
My body aches from front to back,
And I’m needing air so I can relax.
The sea is killing me in every possible way,
And the sea refuses to let me see a brighter day.
The sea gives me no hope for seeing a peek of light,
And what do you know…The sea is life!

Voices

Louder and louder their calling my name
the voices in my head
I’m screaming at the top of my lungs
but the voices just keep getting louder
Nobody hears them but me
nobody hears me but me
Help me quick before it’s to late
I’m dying slowly piece by piece
The voices are taking over my body
I can no longer think for myself
I am so confused, I do not understand
The voices are taking over my mind
It seems like everyone’s out to get me
their turning me bitter and mean
The voices are taking over my heart
I am almost dead
There is no ray of hope
The voices are taking over my soul
I am drifting away
never to be seen again
and it’s all because nobody would take the time to listen to what I had to say
The voices have taken over my life
now it’s too late
I’m gone forever
and I have everyone to blame

Tears and Smiles

Tears,
the only way to see her pain.
Smiles,
the only window to her heart.
Her eyes,
Show so much of her emotion.
She tries to hide it,
but everyone knows.
Smiles and tears,
Only shows her character.
Tries to be strong for everyone,
Hides her tears.
But in her weakness
Others step up to be her smiles.
Her tears never out weight the smiles,
But the smiles come naturally.
Smiles hide her tears.
Her tears of sadness.
Tears flow freely,
But only when she is alone.
Smiles flow freely
All the time!
She hides her tears
To keep others from worrying.
She suppresses her feelings
To allow others their freedom.
Her smiles always available
But tears hidden away.
Her tears, to show pain
Yet never seen.
Her smiles to show her true self
Her ever sunny personality.

Her tears
The sum of myself.

Desire

My heart aches to be with the one
The one I desire.
I dream of being with my love.
I fear to tell him how I feel
For if my love does not feel the same
I shall lose a dear friend.
Is it better to hurt, to let my heart
continue to burn inside?
To quietly sit and wait?
When we talk I feel my stomach turning
My nervousness twists my tongue to mush.
I avoid my love and fight my desire
For embarrassment can be worse
then losing a friend
I make a fool of myself
and wish to hide forever
Will my love not notice me?
So I and wait and wish and daydream
My desire linger while my heart weeps

Love is like magic
And it always will be.
For love still remains
Life’s sweet mystery!!
Love works in ways
That are wondrous and strange
And there’s nothing in life
That love cannot change!!
Love can transform
The most commonplace
Into beauty and splendor
And sweetness and grace.
